Job Description

Choice Teachers are working closely with a school that require an experienced English Teacher. You need to be comfortable with taking lessons, planning and marking. This role requires a qualified teacher, mainly working with KS3 and a small amount of KS4 students.

*DBS Check is mandatory, or you must be willing to apply for one*

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students
  • Create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on student progress
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

You will be expected to work in a school setting with regular classroom hours, interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis; and participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.

We're Looking For

Desired Qualifications:

  • PGCE, QTS
  • A LEVEL in English or related subject
  • Degree in English Language, Literature, or Education

Experience:

  • Prior experience teaching English to students of varying abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching
  • Flexible and adaptable teaching approach
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Inspirational and able to motivate students
  • Initiative to identify and address individual student needs
