Maths Teacher – Hitchin

Location: Hitchin, Hertfordshire | Salary: £28,000 - £43,000 per annum (dependent on experience) | Job ID: CT-014

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for the subject and helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.

We're Looking For

About You

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related discipline
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status in the UK)
  • Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level is preferred, but newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching, creativity in lesson planning, and a commitment to professional development
